Katie Byard is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with 12 years experience as a psychologist. She has 5 years specialised experience in child neuropsychology working as a specialist paediatric neuropsychologist at Guy's Hospital, London, and has extensive experience assessing and treating children with neurological conditions. Katie has also held positions in paediatric psychology and child mental health services and as a Research Psychologist at Imperial College, London.

Katie has developed a keen interest in the effect of brain injury on the family and on family coping and adjustment. She has specialist expertise in this area, providing expert psychological support for children and families.

Katie currently holds a position as a Research Associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, London and is a visiting lecturer on Clinical Psychology Training and post-graduate courses in London and the South East, lecturing on Paediatric Neuropsychology and rehabilitation.

On a sessional basis, Katie works in the Community Support Service, at the Children's Trust, Tadworth Court, offering comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of children with brain injury and neurological conditions.
