Jeremy Morris
Educational Psychologist
Jeremy trained and worked as a teacher, before qualifying as an educational psychologist in 1998. He has been employed as a Local Authority educational psychologist, working with a wide range of children, families and schools.
In 2000 Jeremy spent a year studying autism and memory in children with Dr Dermot Bowler at City University. A one year job swap to Australia in 2003 provided the opportunity to combine the role of an EP with that of school counsellor. This lead to an interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and on his return to England Jeremy trained as a cognitive therapist.
In his role as a therapist Jeremy has worked with a range of clients including children and families, adults with mood and anxiety problems, and both children and adults with Asperger's Syndrome. Jeremy has close links with University College London where he provides some teaching and supervises doctoral students with their cognitive therapy work. Jeremy now has a private therapy practice and works as a consultant to local authorities.
Jeremy also has an interest in Mindfulness interventions and is currently developing a questionnaire to assess mindfulness in children.
