Dr. Bethanne Willingham
Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Bethanne Willingham is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and specialises in working with children with cognitive impairments and their families. She uses neuropsychology and family systems’ theory to think with families about how to address situations that may be causing difficulties.
Her clinical interests are in all forms of cognitive impairment: acquired (through brain injury), organic or neurodevelopmental, those owing to ante- or perinatal injury, and those without a specific aetiology. She is interested in conducting research with these groups of people, and particularly value approaches within the qualitative methodologies.
She has worked extensively in London: at the Institute of Psychiatry, Guy’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. She currently work in Essex. She is a member of the BPS and the DCP.
