Laura McHugh
Assistant Psychologist
Laura McHugh is the Assistant Psychologist at Recolo. Her primary role is to assist the company directors and associates in their clinical and research duties. Laura is primarily responsible for handling all aspects of Cogmed and will also be undertaking a Cogmed research project, focusing on computerised working memory training in a controlled school environment.
Laura has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Southampton and an MSc degree in Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health from London Metropolitan University and is hoping for a clinical training place in the future.
Laura has worked for a number of years with children, adolescents and families dealing with mental health, learning and physical disabilities. Her various placements have afforded her valuable experience in range of environments from the NHS and educational fields to the private sector.
Laura has gained research experience while working on the ‘what Happened Next Project' at the Anna Freud Centre in London. The project is in the latter stages of research and should be going to press in 2011.
