We offer a highly specialised intervention for children and their families affected by traumatic events.

We use an adapted CBT programme with children with brain injury or neurological / neurodevelopmental disorders so that they are able to access and use the CBT ideas to modify their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

We understand that the emotional impact on the family is significant as they adjust to their new role of care for their child. We provide psychological support for the family members as part of our rehabilitation service.

School liaison may include working alongside teachers and Learning Support Assistants at school providing information about the impact of brain injury on learning and behavioural and social functioning.

Based on an analysis of the behaviour, and in the context of the child's current neuropsychological functioning and development, we develop a behavioural programme for implementation at home and / or school.

As child neuropsychologists, we are able to work with children and young people to rehabilitate cognitive skills based on up to date knowledge of brain development and their influence on behaviour, the effect of brain injury on neuropsychological skills and development, and strategies for rehabilitation.
